Pillar I:
Primary Healthcare Support

OUR PILLARS

The 2010 Affordable Care Act provided opportunities to address issues related to access to care, cultural competency in health care, insurance discrimination, and securing health information for Pacific Islanders. However, significant health inequity continues to exist. We work to bridge that inequity by reinforcing activities that improve access to linguistically and culturally appropriate primary health services and programs for Pacific Islander communities.

Improve Access

Improve access to community prioritized culturally and linguistically appropriate primary care programs and services.

Improve Services

Improve quality of primary care services for Pacific Islanders living in the U.S. Pacific

Provide Resources

Provide resources, support and technical assistance to PI- serving CHCs and community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate primary care programs and services that address highly prevalent health conditions.

Advocate

Advocate for improved access to on-site care for veterans living in the U.S. Pacific.
